Another week passes, another grey sky outside, don’t you just love the English weather. Wow over a month since my last post, sorry about that, the truth is I just haven’t been feeling myself of late. Finally I have got my email working, I have the latest version of Wordpress installed I have hopefully increased security and I have my new blog theme uploaded and waiting for me to hit the switch. I should have it all in place by the end of today assuming there are no more mishaps along the way. The payment processor is still offline. My only acceptable payment method at this very moment in time is via Amazon.

Boy what a stressful day, well not so much for me but for hubby who has to sort this mess out for us. I have been told that the server we are on is using a no longer supported back end? Sounds rude but it’s just bloody annoying. HSphere is the culprit if that means anything to anyone… Anyway the long and short is we have to move home and use a new admin area named CPanel. Not only does it mean re-install the blog and move all files but as our shopping cart was also designed just for us specially with support no longer being around for that either I now need to install a new shopping cart. Hopefully everything will be sorted by tomorrow evening (I say with fingers and toes crossed) wish me luck *sigh*…

What is it with these Turkish hackers or website de-facers? Yesterday we found that 4 of our blogs had been de-faced by these idiots. It was an eye opener for both of us and one that has made me look at web security much more closely. It seems that they find exploits in Wordpress to inject their filth, to be quite honest I wonder why we bother with Wordpress.

The hosting company told us that we should always update to the latest version of wordpress. Sure between myself and my hubby with have over 20 adult related blogs, last week alone Wordpress released version 2.5 and just TWO days later out came 2.5.1. So far over 3 million websites have been de-faced by “1923 Turk Grup” search google yourself and see just how many sites they have ruined.

With this in mind you will notice a few changes to my blog, I need to batten down the hatches and at least make it harder for these idiots.
